The Free Standing Gear Panel features a circular window with eleven moving gears arranged into the shape of a star. Children will soon find that when they rotate a single one of the gears, the other ten will turn along with it. Older kids will appreciate this basic lesson in applied physics, while preschool age children can simply enjoy watching the colorful gears spin. Since the window is clear and double sided, the gears can be seen at work from any angle. Although its function seems simple, for a child these gears can be a part of a massive imaginary machine of which they are the inventor or engineer. The panel is made from plastic that is rotationally molded with an elegant and decorative shape and design. It is held in place by a pair of strong galvanized steel support posts on either side of it which are installed into the ground.
